We would like to wish all of our customers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Since our inception in April 2012, the feedback and support we have received from you all has been tremendous - thank you. This reinforces our belief that quality products at fair prices, coupled with a passion for customer service is definitely the right business strategy. This is just as well as this is the only way we know; suffice to say it is in our DNA.

Due to demand we will be working through the holiday period, so if you would like to talk to us about that lovely new wheelset you have been promising yourself or want to take advantage of our many sales items please drop us an email or give us a call.

With 2016 disappearing over the horizon, 2017 looks to be another interesting year with new products such as the eagerly anticipated Pacenti Forza road/CX rims hitting the shelves in early January. Available in 700c rim and disc brake formats they have an asymmetric design for the disc brake and rear rim brake options, once again Pacenti has upped their game by innovating and refining their products. We look forward to our first builds and are taking pre-orders now.

From British manufacture Hope the back end of 2016 saw the introduction of their new RS4 road bike hubs. Whilst Hope had the RS Mono (and Pro 4 hubs for disc applications), the new RS4 now makes Hope a serious contender in the road bike market, particularly with the ascendance of the road bike disc standard. The 2 pawl system on the RS4 freehub significantly reduces friction over the Pro 4, making it ideal for road bike/CX use.

What else is coming in 2017? Frankly who knows! Hopefully for the sake of us all we will see some settling down of standards. Think about the last few years where in the MTB arena we have gone from 26" disc QR to 29er, 27.5" (650b), 15mm thru front, 142x12 rear, Boost, Fat Bike, 29er & 27.5" Plus standard and most recently not quite plus standard with the trend towards wider rims (and tyres). The road bike market is not immune either with the emergence of disc brakes and the UCI's (hokey-cokey) stance.  Whilst this does not directly affect the non professional scene, it definitely has an impact on market trends, after all how many of us aspire to own a pro level bike?

So here's to another interesting year. One thing you can be sure of is whatever the market throws at us PT Cycles will be ready for it!
