The ENVE Foundation AG25 Gravel Wheelset is designed for everything from bike packing to gravel racing. “AG” stands for “Adventure Gravel” and this is the guiding principle behind the AG25. Part of ENVE’s new Foundation collection, the AG25 brings ENVE’s core technologies and trickle-down features from the ENVE G Series to riders seeking out adventure and ultimately looking to ride for the fun of it. The AG25 is a 700c gravel wheel that can take tyres up to 50mm, responding perfectly to the larger clearances of modern gravel and adventure bikes. The rim shape was developed by ENVE that would smooth out the ride while still delivering a confidence-inspiring feel when it comes to handling. The AG25 uses ENVE’s Wide Hookless Bead to minimise the chance of pinch flats. The wider leading edge of the rim disperses any impact from debris or potholes over a wider area. This leads to a 60+% improvement in pinch flat resistance as well as a 30+% improvement in impact strength. Drilled spoke and valve holes mean the carbon fibres in the AG25 run through the wheel uninterrupted as opposed to being cut. This makes for a stronger, lighter rim structure. Another benefit is that ENVE can control the shape of the rim at the spoke/nipple interface with greater precision. ENVE rims feature a conical nipple seat that prevents premature spoke fatigue while also ensuring wheel-build reliability. The AG25 uses the ENVE Foundation Road Hub, which uses ENVE’s core hub technologies. The hub shell uses simplified machining without compromising flange geometry and wheel build stiffness. The drive mechanism uses Instant Drive 360 technology and a 40t ratchet to deliver responsive engagement, minimal drag, and low maintenance performance. The bearings are premium full contact sealed NTN steel bearings. The Rotor attachment is centre-lock. The AG25 come with ENVE’s Incident Protection. This means that if any mishaps lead to damaged wheels, ENVE will replace your AG’s to keep you rolling on your best set of hoops. We will shortly be relocating from our temporary operating base in Falmouth to Aberdeenshire. This is the final piece of the jigsaw in our move from Spain back to the UK.
During this time there will be a short period when our wheel building operation is suspended. We will however still be taking orders and talking to customers both via telephone and email.
If you are looking to place an order in the very near future then we would advise you to do so ASAP as we will be suspending our workshop operation from Friday 1st September, with a planned resumption date of Monday 9th October. Any orders taken after 1st September will be placed in our build queue and fulfilled on a ‘first come, first served’ basis once we are up and running again.
