DT Swiss

DT Swiss 350 – The 350 is the workhorse of the DT Swiss range of hubs and is available for pretty much all applications. The MTB range was revamped in 2021, followed by road versions in 2023 with fresher graphics, more intricate machining and a 36 Tooth Star Ratchet as standard. The 350 range of affordable high performance hubs form the back bone of our recommended builds and for good reason. The 350 is pretty much a fit and forget hub with only the occasional freehub service required.

Highlights

  • Outstanding bearing quality and longevity
  • Extremely simple, yet clever and reliable 36T ratchet freehub mechanism giving 72 points of engagement
  • Easily upgradable to 54T rarchet increasing the pick-up from 10 to 6.7 degrees of engagement
  • Available in J Bend and Straight Pull
  • Accommodates all common freehub standards
  • Covers Road, MTB and eBike disciplines

Want more bling with a choice of 6 colours? Then Hope may be the answer. Those looking move up the range should consider the DT Swiss 240 EXP.

DT Swiss 240 EXP - The 240 EXP sits in the middle of DT’s hub line up, but don’t think this is just a mid range hub as it punches far above its weight within its price band. Swiss precision engineering, machining and assembly together with clever detail solutions have made the 240 what it is today: A legend. The strengths of the new 240 hub are further enhanced with the new RATCHET EXP technology. The ultra-reliable freehub system transfers the highest pedalling loads resulting in direct power transmission. Just what athletes want: Perfect transmission of their power and the reliability allowing them to focus on the ride.

Highlights

  • Outstanding bearing quality and longevity
  • Light weight
  • Extremely simple, yet clever and reliable ‘36T Star Ratchet’ freehub mechanism giving 72 points of engagement
  • Upgradable to 54T Star Ratchet increasing the pick up speed and 108 points of engagement

Want the ultimate hubs? Take a look at the amazing new DT Swiss 180 EXP Straight Pull

DT Swiss 180 EXP – The 180 range has recently undergone a complete redesign with the only thing remaining for the previous model being its name. Featuring a brand new lightweight aluminium straight pull hub shell, ceramic bearings and totally redesigned 36T freehub mechanism DT Swiss has managed to take a well proven formula and make it even better. By redesigning the freehub mechanism, branded as EXP, DT engineers have not only improved over the previous version in terms of weight and reliability, they have actually simplified the freehub mechanism further. Having fewer moving parts saves weight and enables the drive side hub bearing to move further outboard thus reducing the stresses placed upon it and leading to a claimed 15% increase in stiffness.

Highlights

  • Super Light weight (from 262g non disc to 288g MTB Boost)
  • Matte black aluminium straight pull hub shells give a super stealth look
  • Outstanding bearing quality and longevity
  • Clever, highly reliable and simple 36 tooth Star Ratchet freehub mechanism giving 72 points of engagement
  • Upgradable to 54T Star Ratchet increasing the pick up speed and 108 points of engagement
  • Available in road non disc, road disc and MTB configurations
  • Centre Lock design for disc brake variants but can also be used with 6 bolt rotors by the use of a clever adaptor kit
  • Accommodates all common freehub standards, including the latest Shimano Microspline and SRAM XDR
