Pacenti Forza - The latest road bike rim from design legend Kirk Pacenti
Pacenti has once again upped its game in the road bike rim market. By adopting specific front (symmetric) and rear (asymmetric) profiles, more even spoke bracing angles are achieved. This means the spoke tensions are better balanced on the rear resulting in a stronger and stiffer build which is less likely to lose tension on the non drive side due to the dish required to accommodate modern 11 speed cassettes.
Compared to the latest version of the SL23, they’re actually 0.5mm narrower on the outside, but they maintain the 20mm internal width. The height remains 25mm, but the spoke bed thickness is increased to make them even stronger than the SL23 they replace. That makes them about 20-30g heavier than the SL23 and are suitable for both road and cyclocross applications.
